Ira Molayo, PGA, has been a PGA member since 2007 and is the newly elected President of the Northern Texas PGA Board of Directors for 2026–2027. Molayo’s golf management company, IAMJ Enterprises, Inc., manages the historic Cedar Crest Golf Course, an A.W. Tillinghast design and is part of Dallas Parks and Recreation’s public recreation collection of municipal golf courses.

 

In his over 20 years of golf teaching, Ira has instructed golfers of all ages and skill levels. He donates countless hours throughout the year to work with more than five hundred inner-city youth in his community of Southern Dallas. In 2018, Molayo founded the I AM a Golfer Foundation, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.

 

Ira’s focus is to bring about community renewal through golf, golf-related programs, and instruction at Cedar Crest Golf Course.

Darius Contreras-Henson graduated from Rowlett High School in 2014. He attended Oklahoma State University and Texas Tech University while majoring in Marketing. Currently, Darius is the Head Golf Professional here at Cedar Crest Golf Course and has begun the PGA/PGM program in just a short year back to the game. Having coached over 250 juniors, Darius employs an encouraging and even-handed coaching philosophy. His primary focus is on fundamentals and player course management which he trusts are the keys to improving students' scores.

DeJuan Griggs is an Assistant Golf Professional at Cedar Crest Golf Course with a passion for helping golfers improve through practical instruction and on-course application. Having played the game for just five years, DeJuan understands firsthand what it takes to develop quickly. Through disciplined repetition, countless hours of practice, and extensive on-course experience, he has built a game founded on consistency, feel, and confidence. DeJuan’s teaching philosophy focuses on developing golfers from the ground up by creating lasting movement patterns rather than relying on quick fixes. His instruction emphasizes the feel of the golf swing, helping players understand what the correct motion should feel like so they can repeat it naturally under pressure. In addition to full-swing instruction, DeJuan places a strong emphasis on the scoring aspects of the game. He believes that solid chipping and confident putting are the fastest ways for golfers of every skill level to lower their scores. Lessons are designed to strengthen both technique and the mental side of golf, giving students the confidence to take what they learn on the practice range directly to the golf course. Whether you’re new to the game or looking to take your scores to the next level, DeJuan is committed to providing a positive learning environment built on repetition, feel, and a clear understanding of how to improve.
